History
In 2006, BBR enters Latindex - Regional Online Information System for Scientific Journals of Latin America, Caribbean, Spain, and Portugal. Later, BBR becomes part of EBSCO Publishing's database, located in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. These were important steps to consolidate BBR - Brazilian Business Review as an international scientific magazine.
In 2007, BBR is classified as A NATIONAL by Qualis / CAPES. Qualis is a classification of journals maintained by CAPES, part of the Brazilian Ministry of Education, and used by post-graduate programs in Brazil to evaluate the quality of their publications.
In 2008, due to changes in classification criteria of Qualis / CAPES, BBR receives a new classification, B2.
In 2013, BBR - Brazilian Business Review becomes part of Spell - Scientific Electronic Library Periodicals, which is a system for indexing and searching availability of free scientific articles and RePEc - Research Papers in Economics, a bibliographic database dedicated to economics and related disciplines.
In 2014, BBR becomes part of SIS (Scientific Indexing Services), ProQuest, Directory of Research Journals Indexing, SJIF Journals Master List, Research Bible, Citefactor, Global Impact Factor, Gale, Ulrich's, and Copernicus.
In 2015, BBR is re-evaluated by Qualis / CAPES, being upgraded to B1 level and classified as one of the most relevant journals of the area in Brazil.
In 2017, BBR is classified as A2 by Qualis / CAPES, the second-highest level possible, and the highest one currently achieved among Brazilian academic journals.
In 2018, BBR has been accepted by the Content Selection & Advisory Board for indexing by Scopus
